Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues and back to the heart. It also helps in bringing new nutrients and oxygen to cells. Lymphatic drainage uses a specific amount of pressure and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate lymph flow.

Lymphatic drainage can be used to treat any type of swelling, especially in the ankles, reduce scar tissue, reducing cellulite, Lymphoedema,  post-traumatic oedema after bruising, fracture, dislocations or other surgical procedures also migraines, whiplash and muscle strains. This can be done to reduce swelling after pregnancy which is a very common problem.

Treatments can be be up to an hour a day or a session 3 times a week. This can be for a period of 3 or more weeks and then come back every 3 months or so, depending on the condition.

This treatment has been used since 1932 and had many positive outcomes. It is now a valued treatment in most clinics around the world.
